There are many ways that each of us are asked to give back to our community, but few have as lasting an impact on a young person, as being a part of a youth football team. The lessons learned can stay with a player for the rest of their lives, and teach them skills that can be recalled in facing adversity, as well as molding leadership qualities. There is no dollar value that can be attached to friendships formed between teammates, parents, and coaches.
The West Austin Pop Warner league provides the organization and opportunity for players to develop and grow, and there is a financial cost in making this happen each year. The registration fee covers part of this cost, but is kept at a level that will allow as many families as possible to participate. The league must also count on donations from businesses and families who can offer additional assistance, in order to meet the total expense of the league operation. What better return on an investment than our children?
